It’s January – again! And for many of us it’s the time of year that we set new goals and visions for ourselves in both personal and business. Yet we can all agree that by February, many of them have fallen off and we’re just scrambling around grasping at whatever limb we can to make something happen.
Well not this year, friends! Here are a few helpful tips I have used in the past year to keep me positioned and committed to my goals!
Remember Your ‘Why’
This just may be the most important one. Keep an easily accessible reminder to why you started this goal and why you want to achieve it. Keeping a background on your phone with a specific picture, or creating a vision board in your work place is a great way to keep this reminder in sight and in mind.
Prepare Answers To Excuses
You know yourself better than anyone else, and you know the excuses that you will most likely come up with to not continue working on your goals. Write them down and then write next to it how you plan to answer yourself positively. Get ahead of your own game with this tip!
Set Smaller Attainable Goals
Many people get burnt out because they set goals so high for themselves, they don’t even have a plan on how to achieve them. Setting mini-milestone markers for yourself will give you the esteem boost you need to keep going through the year to work towards the bigger goal.
